Ceramic Stools Collection - a reinterpretation of growth examining new and traditional materials and crafts, with DIY production. Ricardas Blazukas uses modern glazes for striking colour, ceramic fibre insulation to build the kiln, and the firing gas as the heat source. The lack of accuracy in temperature is an opportunity to introduce a moment of chance in the aesthetic of the collection. As a finishing touch, Ricardas created soft poufs, upholstered with colourful Kvadrat wool, to lightly hold each stool and complement the Collection.

Each ceramic stool was individually fired in a self-made oil drum kiln lined with ceramic fibre insulation. The complete firing would take 24h including 12h of cooling overnight.
The lack of accuracy in temperature within the self-made kiln is an opportunity to introduce a moment of chance in the aesthetic of each piece.
